I’m a historian, writer, and editor based in Central Virginia. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in the history program at George Mason University.
My interests include memory, technology (especially the built environment), and local history.
I completed my BA in English and history at the College of William & Mary and my MA at Virginia Tech. Much of my background lies in public history; I worked at Historic Jamestowne, Jamestown Settlement, the American Civil War Museum, and Hanover Tavern Foundation before coming back to finish my training as a professional academic historian.
